Regulations FWO Research Grant "Rimaux-Bartier Donation"
A Rimaux-Bartier Donation research grant is awarded every year.
This grant in the amount of €12,400 is awarded to a researcher affiliated to a university in the Flemish Community and officially registered higher education institutions (Article 7 of the Decree on the Structure of Higher Education) that can award a PhD degree (Articles 54-55 of the Decree on the Structure of Higher Education) or to a Flemish or Federal institute for scientific research, that has made the most progress in researching an, as yet, incurable disease.
Applications must be submitted to the FWO no later than 1 April at 17:00 preceding the year to which the expenditure relates, using the online application form "Research Grant". If this date falls on a Saturday or Sunday, the submission date is moved to the following Monday at 17:00.
The grant is awarded by the Board of Trustees of the Research Foundation - Flanders on a proposal of the Expertpanels, and is intended to finance equipment or to cover bench fees.
The FWO Board of Trustees will each year inform the Belgian press of the CV of the candidate who has been awarded the grant and also of the reasons for the award.
The donation is to be used in accordance with the provisions of the Research Grant regulations.
Any disputes regarding the admissibility of submitted applications and the actual award of the grant shall be settled by the FWO, whose decision cannot be appealed.
