SCK•CEN prof. Roger Van Geen Award 2014

On October 23, 2014 SCK•CEN, in cooperation with FWO and F.R.S.-FNRS, has awarded the SCK•CEN prof. Roger Van Geen Award 2014 to Prof. Dr. Tony Lahoutte (VUB) for his research in the field of nuclear medicine, in particular on molecular imaging with nanobodies. The jury recognizes the major contribution to the field of oncology and inflammatory and cardiovascular diseases of this research.

SCK•CEN awards this scientific prize in recognition of original research in the field of nuclear energy or radiation. The Belgian Nuclear Research Centre (SCK•CEN) attaches great importance to the promotion of research in the field of nuclear energy, and both research in technical/scientific disciplines as well as socio-economically oriented research on nuclear energy are eligible for this prize. The award, to an amount of €12.500, is awarded every two years.
