Uit het juryrapport:
Dr. Hans Janssen is at the forefront of building physics research as demonstrated in his impressive list of publications in the international refereed journals, conference proceedings and books. Through his various publications, he has advanced the fundamental understanding of heat, air and moisture transfer through building materials and components, hygrothermal loadings, and numerical and experimental methods. His work is highly recognized and cited by researchers in the building physics field.
Dr. Janssen is the key player and leader in the building physics field. He has contributed in identification, initiation and leading of various multi-national strategic research projects such as EU HAMSTAD project and IEA ECBCS Annex 41, which now are being used as reference materials by researchers and graduate students globally. His involvement as Scientific Committee member and reviewer in various Conferences and Journal publications, and his role in the IEA ECBCS Annex 55 international project as a Subtask leader is the reflections of his accomplishment in the international stage and acknowledgement by peers.
