FWO signs new agreement with the Hungarian Academy of Science
The official signing of the new cooperation agreement between the FWO and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) took place in Brussels on March 19th.
At the Flemish-Hungarian workshop in Budapest last year in June, ideas had already been exchanged to further deepen the existing collaboration between Flemish and Hungarian researchers and to work out a new agreement. The subsequent negotiations resulted in a new mobility programme that encourages Flemish and Hungarian researchers to strengthen their academic cooperation and implement joint research activities. Under these two-year exchange projects, at least one young researcher (with max. 6 years postdoctoral experience) has to be recruited.
FWO and HAS provide funding to pay the flight tickets, accommodation and daily allowance of the exchanged researchers. The total number of days available to the applicant for the exchange of individual researchers is fixed at 30 days per project per year, to be distributed over max. 4 exchanges per year.
More information about the launch of a first call, the eligibility requirements, application and evaluation procedure will shortly be published on www.fwo.be .
