Advances in the processing of various types of data (e.g., signals, images, sound, speech, text and continuous streams of information). Incremental adaptations geared towards implementation in a specific area or use case and/or direct application of (straightforward combinations of) existing algorithms and techniques in other research areas fall outside the scope of this panel and should be submitted in the relevant panel (i.e., the panel in which the application is situated) within biological sciences, medical sciences, social sciences and humanities, or science and technology.
