Elisabeth Heremans wins the Nokia Bell Scientific Award 2025

Thanks to the financial support from Nokia Belgium, the Research Foundation Flanders (FWO) and the Fund for Scientific Research (FRS-FNRS) can annually award the Nokia Bell Scientific Award. Nokia shapes the technologies at the heart of our connected world. This Nokia Bell Scientific Award recognizes the dissertation with the most original contribution to the field of information and communications technology. 

Elisabeth Heremans received this award on December 16. She is a research associate at the Dynamical Systems, Signal Processing and Data Analysis (STADIUS) division, Department of Electrical Engineering. Heremans receives this recognition for her PhD thesis, entitled 'Automated sleep analysis: from the hospital to the home environment.' Her supervisor was Maarten De Vos and her co-supervisor Wim Van Paesschen.  

Nokia Belgium awards this annual scientific award to promote ICT research and stimulate interaction between the academic and industrial communities.
